Built in 1948, the historic Bathgate old time country general store is a destination in and of itself.
Referred to as the “best general store on the Sunshine Coast”, this gem on the edge of Egmont’s waterfront is popular not only with Resort guests, but also locals and even folks heading up for Powell River. We even have people from Pender Harbour driving up for our excellent frozen meats out of our high-quality Vancouver supplier.
The General Store is remarkably well stocked offering an excellent selection of groceries including fresh produce, meat, dairy products, ice cream and baked goods. A wide variety of fishing equipment including frozen bait, tackle, hunting licenses, marine charts, tide books, hunting supplies, hardware and marine supplies, lawn and garden items, and cube and block ice are also available. There are practical items such as toiletries, housewares, camping equipment and souvenirs.
We have GREAT candy for kids of all ages, and a lot of snacking items. Everyone will love exploring the selection and reliving childhood memories if you’re old enough to have them!
As a Government Liquor Agency we sell liquor, beer and wine, seven days a week and stock a good selection of high quality spirits in our special case. Just ask for assistance when you come in.
We sell marine and auto fuel, as well as marine diesel.
